Julie Brown White is a partner in Baton Rouge office of Schiff, Scheckman & White LLP providing legal advice and representation on behalf lawyers concerning matters involving legal ethics and professional responsibility. She represents lawyers in all stages of disciplinary proceedings and provides counsel and advice to lawyers concerning ethics issues. She also frequently represents applicants in Bar admissions matters. Ms. White was previously a Deputy Disciplinary Counsel for the Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board (1998-2006). Upon leaving the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, Ms. White was a solo practitioner in Baton Rouge and focused her practice on matters related to attorney discipline before the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board (2006-2010). Ms. White was also previously an associate with the firm of deGravelles, Palmintier & Holthaus (1991-1998). Ms. White earned her B.A. degree from LSU in 1987, her law degree from the University of Mississippi in 1990 and was admitted to practice law in Louisiana in 1991.
